Daughters of the American Revolution

Daughters of the American Revolution - Archival ScanningThe Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), founded in 1890, is a volunteer women's service organization dedicated to keeping America strong by promoting patriotism, preserving U.S. history and supporting education programs. Over 800,000 applications for membership have been submitted to DAR since the organization began - the majority of them handwritten. Working closely with Crowley, DAR defined the right approach to preservation of their applications and developed a plan to create a set of digital images and microfiche for each one. Read more
