The Crowley Company began in 1981 as a distributor for up to 13 different companies providing hardware solutions for the micrographics marketplace. The product offerings included cameras, processors, silver and diazo duplicators as well as inspection equipment and accessories. In 1987, we began to provide 16mm and 35mm filming services and quickly became a well respected source for micrographics services. In short order, we began providing processing and duplicating services and added the ability to create and process aperture cards and 105mm microfilm.
Despite the trend toward electronic imaging in the 1990’s, Crowley Imaging maintained and still provides a full range of micrographic services to include Preservation Microfilming to a wide variety of federal, state and commercial clients. In addition to providing services, the Crowley Company purchased Extek and the Houston Fearless Processors division in 2003. We continue to manufacture processors and duplicators as well as custom cameras.
The Crowley Company firmly believes in and continues to advocate for the long term preservation benefits of microfilm. Through our commitment to the continued development of state of the art hardware and our dedication to providing preservation standard micrographics services, we continue to demonstrate our focus in the micrographics industry.
